Told over five years, The Stairs defies stereotypes about drug use, sex work and homelessness through an intimate portrait that is by turns funny, surprising and moving.
Studied Film from York University. He wrote and directed short drama, Hogtown Blues(2004) which was awarded Bilbao: Audience Award from Toronto International Film Festival. He also produced short doc A Tomb with a view(2014), A Place Called Los Pereyra(2009). The Stairs is his feature debut as director, won Toronto Film Critics Award for Best Canadian Film of 2016.
