A special exhibition ‘SONG Gil-han, The Writer of Cinematic Spirit’ was held on April 28(Fri) with the opening ceremony.
At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, writer SONG Gil-han, a mayor of Jeonju KIM Seungsoo, director IM Kwontaek and actress KIM Jimi attended. Also, actor AHN Sung-gi, actress JANG Mihee, festival director of the Jeonju IFF LEE Choongjik, director JUNG Jiyoung, President of Cine2000 LEE Choonyeon, congressman of the Theminjoo SOHN Hyewon, former president of the board of audit and inspection of Korea HAN Seungheon, former president of Jeonbuk University, former president of Korean Film Council KIM Euiseok have attended the opening ceremony.
The Writer SONG Gilhan was born in 1940, Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do. His works after 1980s such as Jagko, Mandara, Gilsotteum, and Ticket, which were produced in a collaboration with the film director Im Kwontaek. Besides these films, Tears of the Idol, Village of Haze, and Crying in a Butterfly’s Embrace were good examples of his keen insights and will be screened in Special Focus ‘SONG Gil-han, The Writer of Cinematic Spirit’.
The exhibition presents the life, background, and filmography of SONG Gil-han, who has been writing for 40 years. This exhibition is co-hosted by IM Kwon Taek Film Archive of Dongseo University and held at the exhibition room on 1st floor of Jeonju Cine Complex from April 28 to June 30.
